Rental request
Steps of a rental request
1
Read the regulations of the Shawinigan student residences
As a future tenant, you must first read the residence regulations to see if they suit you. These regulations are an integral part of the lease.
Attention, the plan for available rental units is not always up to date.
2
Make a rental request
You must complete the Rental Request form. This form authorizes us to contact you to schedule a visit, a Teams meeting or a telephone interview in order to answer your questions and, if applicable, proceed with signing the lease and paying the first month’s rental.
3
Make the visit, the Teams meeting or the telephone interview
The visit, the Teams meeting or, at a minimum, the telephone interview, are a mandatory step before signing the lease. During this meeting, we will give you in person or by email three forms to complete which will allow us to prepare the lease:
- The “Consents for the collection of information” form
- The form for the “Rental file”
- The form for “Minors”, if applicable
We will ask you to prepare your proof of insurance in preparation for signing the lease. This must include civil liability of $2,000,000 and minimum insurance for furniture.
4
Proceed with signing the lease and payment for the first month of rental
This last step requires you to first submit the forms sent during the visit and proof of insurance for civil liability and furniture. This step also allows you to finalize the choice of your rental unit based on availability and to establish your other needs (parking, locker rental, etc.)
